Liked it so much I bought it on Amazon. The tools, the lessons of observation, the re-reading until it says what you want the reader to feelall make the editing process profitable and necessary. Lists with This Book. This book was a slog to get through, and apparently I’ve already read it once before, but it was so rozellle, I didn’t remember ever reading it.
It didn’t give me what I hoped for when I read it how to write about a specific place in the world, it just says “research it”- gee, thanks but maybe it is impossible to give that kind of advice.
And while I had hoped to never read a line from that book again after high school, I can’t deny that the excerpt chosen illustrates the point at hand exceedingly well. It covers literary devices descripyion as personification, symbolism, allusions, analogies, similes, and metaphors, including adverbs, adjectives, and punctuation.
It’s easy to say this table is old and worn, the edges faded and chipped. Shame that I got it through the library as I wanted to highlight certain sections. When and how you’ll want to consider using back stories, flashbacks and future stories. And not because you didn’t KNOW them but maybe it’s something you just altogether forgot about, one of those pesky common mistakes.

This is an excellent discussion of using description and setting in writing fiction. How you can use other characters, setting, and the knowledge you have about the character to give readers information without putting together a list.

This one fortunately for you and me, is not. But to another reader, the “obvious” information may be something they’ve never known, and have great leaps in their writing progress as a result.

I do wish that I knew how to organize all the notes that he suggests jotting down dozelle later use.
