Illustrated Philosophy Hardcover Books. Rather, it aims at mobilizing true believers and marginalizing descent. This book, unlike its predecessor Plato and a Platypus which was greatwas far too one-sided to be of any use to me.

I’m pretty sure everyone was disappointed in that administration and the result is that virtually every writer and musician condemned in their craft which gets pretty old even if I agree with them. As promised on the cover, this work is loaded with humor via jokes, zingers and irony.

This book is a great read for people who love political humor, such as I.

The capture of bin Laden may also be a failure that has not yet occurred. I also confess that I’ve reread the best bits a number of times.

Anyway, it’s worth it for how short it is. This would’ve been a handy reference back in high school debate. Aristotle and an Aardvark Go to Washington by Thomas Cathcart

The jokes here are just as good as Carthcart and Klein’s previous effort, and yes I trap a few family members and waited in silence for the inevitable grin.

But I did enjoy this book more. I was surprised I got all the answers to the little quiz on word trickery at the end right! Still don’t fo him. However, the reader, Johnny Heller, does some great vocal impressions of various politicians. This focused on logic, or rather, illogic in politics.

As far as the jokes go I had heard most of them before, in one form or another, so there was nothing new in that sense, but when placed within the context of this book they took on new meanings and obtained a certain freshness that I found fun and entertaining.

But that’s just me. Adding to my enjoyment, many of the references and politicos mentioned in this book are contemporary and thus fresh in my mind. If the debating and debacling is getting a bit much for you, this baby is hard to put down.
